On May 14, 2025, the Carolina Bible Camp community lost a legend, Billy Ray Voss, 94. Billy was small in physical stature, but stood tall with a big heart in his service to the kingdom of heaven and Carolina Bible Camp. He was led to Christ by his loving bride, Betty, and became a minister. Among the churches he served were the Aberdeen Church of Christ and the Sanford Church of Christ, both in North Carolina. He first came to CBC in 1966 and served in a number of capacities as a member of the board of directors, the weekly Director of Week 4 for several years, singing class teacher, and was the first caretaker for many years when CBC’s Mocksville facility opened in 1992. As a board member, he was a part of the creation of the Mocksville camp facility. The collective heart of the CBC community goes out to his daughters, Deborah (Frankie) Cole of Huntsville, AL and Dr. Joni (Allen) Beach of Radford, VA, his sons, Mark (Cheryl) Voss of Carthage, NC and Bryant (Stacy) of Robbins, NC. His family legacy also includes twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild! Thak you, Billy! We will never forget you. (fb)
