Teaching Artist Project is thrilled to welcome 24 new trainees into this year’s class! Opening night at The People’s Forum was full of excitement as trainees got to know one another through ice breakers and low-stakes artistic collaborations. The next day, trainees gathered at Girls Write Now for their first full workshop day centered around community building. Trainees developed their own sets of community and accountability practices that will carry them through the program, reflected on how to develop an authentic land acknowledgement practice, and shared with one another what unique gifts they each bring to the TAP community.
