Home of American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer and Superstar Misty Copeland San Pedro City Ballet is supported by the LA County Department of Arts and Culture as part of Creative Recovery LA an initiative funded by the American Rescue Plan. Mission Our mission is to identify train and promote a worldclass preprofessional dance company from the diverse population of the Los Angeles Harbor area that is founded in the base of classical works and traditions and goes beyond to explore new contemporary and original modern works and to provide training to schools throughout Los Angeles for arts education and afterschool programs. About Us San Pedro City Ballet SPCB was established in 1994 by nationally recognized dancers and teachersCynthia and Patrick David Bradley as a notforprofit dance company serving greater Los Angeles. It is home to American Ballet Theatre superstar Misty Copeland who was discovered by the Bradleys at age 13.
