The Trump administration's cuts to foreign assistance funding and shuttering of USAID are having catastrophic consequences around the world, and faith leaders are speaking out. Rabbi Elizabeth Richman, Associate Director of Jewish Engagement and Advocacy at AJWS, spoke at briefing for members of Congress organized by the Interfaith Working Group on Foreign Assistance this week. She echoed the voices of AJWS's grantees, saying loud and clear that foreign assistance is a moral imperative. (fb)
