June statistics are in. The Company responded to 56 calls for service in the month of June. That is 10 calls more compared to June 2024 at 46. For the first half of 2025, we are at 360 calls for service compared to 289 in the first half of 2024. (fb)

At 7:04 pm, the company was alerted for a semi-truck on fire on Route 51 at N. Lewis Run Rd. Due to conflicting locations given to AC911, Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue was also dispatched to Lewis Run Rd and Route 51 in Jefferson Hills. 232 Asst. 1 arrived on scene shortly after dispatch to find the semi-truck in Pleasant Hills on Route 51 with light smoke from the engine compartment and an active fire under the truck. JHFR units were requested to continue and placed a handline in service on arrival and later assisted by 232 Rescue personnel. The fire was determined to be caused from electrical issues and a dry chemical extinguisher was used to control the fire. Personnel worked to isolate the truck batteries to eliminate any further issues. McGann and Chester, LLC. was requested to tow the vehicle. (fb)
