The Golden Hill Paugussett recently held an event at their reservation in Trumbull, CT, to celebrate the re-printing of "Quarter Acre of Heartache". The book relays Chief Big Eagle's (also known as Aurelius Piper, Sr.) successful 1976 fight to preserve the tribe's reservation. The event featured a talk by the book's author, Claude Clayton Smith, who was introduced by Clan Mother Shoran Waupatukuay Piper.
