We could give a million reasons. But for now, we will share a few reasons we love Laura from her students' POV. She is fun, creative, kind, supportive, a book sleuth, a Steelers fan, and she introduces us to all kinds of '90s music. Her influence on our students' lives cannot be measured, but it can surely be felt. Laura has a way of planting seeds that grow curiosity - She is the heart behind Londonderry's KidWind program. She has also advocated and participated in Heart and Sole, Girls on the Run, and countless other initiatives that have nourished our school and shaped our culture. As Mr. Rogers said, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" We met some of those brave helpers today! They taught us about fire safety in our homes, so we can be safe and confident in our family fire plans. They also showed us around the rig, pointing out all of the amazing equipment they use to be heroic firefighting helpers in our community. Thank you to Rescue Fire Company #37 for your time today.
