The Zeta Iota Chapter is officially back at San Jose State University. Over the weekend of April 25-27, the collegiate chapter and alumni celebrated the return of the chapter’s charter with several special events and activities, including a Friday alumni reception, Saturday Breakfast with the Regent, and Sunday Affirmation of Knighthood Ceremony for graduating seniors. The two marquee events were the Initiation Ceremony, officially knighting the dedicated collegiate members who have worked tirelessly to help restore the chapter’s charter, and a celebratory banquet featuring remarks by collegiate officers, alumni volunteers, and university administrators. The banquet culminated with the presentation of the chapter’s charter to the collegiate chapter by Regent Maury Gaston (Auburn). Special thanks to Zeta Iota alumni volunteers Lazaro Brito Arroyo, Tim Blackmun, Daniel Peterson, Alfredo Cuellar, Michael Meissner, John McLemore, Dino Certa, Mike Cummins, Tim Robb, and Ken Verdoia and General Fraternity staff members Chaysen Babcock (Northern Arizona) and Mac McNeilly (Huntingdon), who played a critical role in supporting the collegiate members, now brothers, as they worked toward this special moment for the Zeta Iota Chapter. #sigmanu #legionofhonor #hirickety (fb)
