Daniel Mejia enjoys solving complex problems. In that way, Computer Science has always felt like a natural fit to stimulate his curiosity. Daniel is at his best when he can focus intensely on a problem, often emerging with a brilliant and elegant solution to whatever challenge he faces. Throughout his four years with ELiTE, Daniel has developed a strong fluency using various technology tools, languages, packages, and frameworks ranging from full-stack web development and machine learning to data science and hardware. Some of his most impressive projects include a Raspberry Pi powered, voice-controlled arcade game with a real-time web-based emulator and leaderboard in 2021 and a simple website to visualize data captured from an environmental datalogger using an open-source microcontroller recording air quality data in his South Bronx neighborhood in 2023.
