Zilch No-Cost Food Distribution kicks off outside our office (1428 W Broadway Ave) at 3 PM today! 🌱 This month marks 1 YEAR of weekly distribution of food to our community—thank you for being part of it! Over the last few weeks, our teen interns have been growing and harvesting produce & flowers from our garden, which now go straight to Zilch alongside food from @secondharvest_inw and more. Distribution runs until 5 PM (or until it’s all gone)! ✨ Youth Marketing Pod Post ✨ *Photos and caption by RCY intern pod: Rotten Veggies This week with River City Youth, our teen agriculture intern pods focused on building a new pollinator garden. They kicked things off by making seed bombs, led by Heather of Common Ground Spokane, and worked with our college intern beekeeper lead, Noah, on a DIY solar wax melter to recycle wax. Other RCY pods focused on general crop care, reinforcing signs and stakes as well as various other tasks. As part of their internship, the pod, Rotten Veggies also took on a creative challenge: taking photos together, selecting their favorite as a team, and writing their own IG caption.
