Institute for Population Health (IPH) Detroit will have a Back-to-School Immunization Health Fair and distribute school supplies and Backpacks on August 22nd, 2025, from 10:00 am -2:00 pm at 19830 James Couzens Fwy, Detroit, MI 48235. IPH services include General Primary Care, Immunizations (Vaccines for Children & Adults Program), COVID Testing and Vaccine, Women’s Health and Gynecological care, COVID Testing and Vaccine, HIV testing, Prevention and Treatment, STD Testing and treatment, Health Screenings, Health Education and Well Child Services. Latest News Flu Vaccination Can Reduce Flu Illness Influenza flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by flu viruses that infect the nose throat and sometimes the lungs. CDC estimates that there have been at least 29 million illnesses 370000 hospitalizations and 16000 deaths from flu so far this season. Flu vaccination can reduce flu illness doctors visits and missed work and school due to flu and prevent flurelated hospitalizations. See the Figure below.
