This Is Vincentian! This week we savored the last days of summer and celebrated new beginnings. These are the Moments that Mattered. Vincentian Schenley Gardens and Terrace Place at Vincentian welcomed the new Students In Residence. The start of Intergenerational Living Month offered the chance to make a bigger splash, and residents, students and families enjoyed kicking off the new season with good food, great connections and new activities. Vincentian Child Discovery Center McCandless got back to business stepping into the classroom. A Labor Day picnic made everyone savor the summertime just a bit longer 😎 Vincentian Home brought their best do-si-do to the floor and enjoyed some square dancing this week. Earlier this week, Vincentian Schenley Gardens welcomed the newest cohort of the Students In Residence program! This special evening kicked off Intergenerational Living Month with a delicious meal crafted by the talented Schenley Gardens culinary team. Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh was there to share in the moment, too! Now in its fifth year, the current Students In Residence program cohort brings together 21 students of the Health Sciences from Chatham University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Duquesne University. They represent locations across the United States, and internationally as well, including The Netherlands, Egypt, and South Africa! These students will live on-site leading programs, sharing experiences, and creating moments of learning, engagement, and intergenerational connection. Welcome to our new students!
