The IUBMB unites biochemists and molecular biologists in 77 countries and regions that belong to the IUBMB as an Adhering Body or Associate Adhering Body represented by a biochemical society, a national research council, or an academy of sciences. To foster and support the growth and advancement of biochemistry and molecular biology in the service of mankind. To promote the ethics of science and the participation of scientists in activities related to biochemistry and molecular biology.
