Eucharist Receiving one Holy Communion with awareness and reverence you: 1. Create a personal visit -- the actual indwelling of the Blessed Trinity within your being. This is a celebration, a jubilee* of God’s on-going work: redemption, sanctification, and creation with you. 2. Receive a special increase of sanctifying grace, which makes your soul more pleasing to God. 3. Receive a quota of sacramental grace, which empowers you to better resist temptation, meet the discharge of your daily duties and grow spiritually through on-going conversion to be the person the Father created you to be. 4. Will have all your venial sins wiped away. 5. Receive the special preserving influence – the grace – to control your human weaknesses. 6. Receive the opportunity of having remitted a part, or all, of the temporal punishment due to your sins. 7. Receive the spiritual joy, the sweetness, and particular comfort that comes from a fervent holy communion. 8. Receive a unique celestial glory that you will possess throughout all eternity. 9. May gain: a. complete victory over some bad habit, fault, or passion b. some particular grace long prayed for c. the conversion of some soul d. deliverance of a particular person from Purgatory e. many graces for others, both living and deceased f. Guidance and strength to do God’s will * Jubliee: a joy which no tongue can tell, but which pours itself with might through heart and soul. ** Catholic mystics and saints have reported experiencing the presence of myriads of angels attending the Blessed Trinity as they come into a person.
