For this week's #MarathonMonday we're featuring Hayden George who is running with Team SCC for the first time. Hayden told us about why she joined our team: “My name is Hayden George and I am an occupational therapist by trade. Running and strength training have played a huge role in supporting my mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Every day I wake up feeling blessed to pursue and perform the physical activity I do. However, from exposure during my everyday professional career, I know this is not the case for many individuals with disabilities. Being able to run Chicago 2025 with Special Children's Charities means supporting a cause near and dear to my heart - ensuring people of all abilities have the chance to experience the empowering benefits of fitness.
