Too often, corporate contributions to early childhood development are seen through a narrow lens, often focused on philanthropy. But there are a wide range of ways businesses can be partners in advancing ECD - not just as funders but also as changemakers, innovators, and advocates. Our Center for Business Champions has developed a holistic framework that outlines some ways businesses can support ECD, including examples of businesses that have done just that. Access the framework here: https://ceinternational1892.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/CBC-Framework-Accessible.pdf Explore other resources in our CBC Resource Hub: https://ceinternational1892.org/businesschampions/resource-hub/ Contact us to find out how we can support your company's CSR/ESG strategy or help your ECD organization build partnerships with businesses: https://ceinternational1892.org/businesschampions/#Contact Image description: A blue, white, and yellow graphic entitled, "Corporate Support for Early Childhood Development: A Holistic Framework." Below the title is a wheel with six parts. They are labeled: "1 - Direct Investment, 2 - Company Practices, 3 - Community Engagement, 4 - Public Policy, 5 - Product & Service Innovation, 6 - Sustainability & CSR Integration." The CBC logo is at the bottom. There is text that says, "Copyright: Childhood Education International." (fb)
The special theme issue of the Journal of Research in Childhood Education is available with free access through September 30! An article in the issue by Sohyun Meacham, Jinhee Kim, Su Jeong Wee, and Sophia Han explores the marginalization, minoritization, and microaggressions experienced by children within Korean American families. Conducted by a research team of four Korean American mother-educator-researchers, the study analyzed the lived experiences of children across multiple U.S. states.
