Members Denise Chapline, Maxine Dornemann and Jay Pennie represented the Rotary Club Of Chestnut Hill at the recent Pastorius Park Summer Concert on July 2 featuring Swing the Cat, a band described as a Sonic Cocktail of Jump Jive and Cabaret with a plash of Bourbon Street. Rotary received a nice shout-out from the stage from Anne McNiff, Executive Director of the Chestnut Hill Community Association. Everyone really enjoyed the show! We will be there again on July16. The longest-running free outdoor concert series in Philadelphia! Pastorius Park Summer Concerts take place for seven weeks, from mid-June into the end of July, every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Guests enjoy a lineup of bands drawn from many musical genres performing against the backdrop of one of Chestnut Hill’s most majestic areas.
