It is THAT time of year again. Here in Guatemala, when the rainy season begins, we have a day or two of flying ants called "zompopos" coming up out of the ground. They are a delicacy and a rare special treat. Here are some pictures of the kids pulling the wings and legs off of the bugs to get them ready to be toasted. What a hoot! I will say that not ALL of the kids are fans. If they grew up with this "delicacy", then they probably enjoyed them. If not, . . it was a hard pass. Yesterday, we also celebrated our psychologist's birthday. Next week the kids have their mid-year break and will be having lots of activities. Thanks for keeping HOME on your heart and minds. We are still praying for our re-accreditation papers. Just any day now Lord, just any day now. (fb)
