For nearly two years, Mychal has partnered with CLI to spread the joy of reading—sharing stories, uplifting communities, and encouraging us all to create literacy-rich spaces in classrooms, schools, libraries, and homes. His infectious love for books and boundless spirit have inspired children and adults alike. This moment also brings CLI full circle. In our early days, founder Linda Katz worked alongside local media and literacy champions like Reading Rainbow’s original host, LeVar Burton, to provide resources for teachers and spark a national movement around reading. That legacy continues today with Mychal carrying the torch into a new era. We couldn’t be happier for Mychal as he steps into this iconic role.
