Yesterday in Peace’s Alternatives for Youth (AY) After-School Program, middle school youth got to participate in one of three fun STEAM-themed clubs: 🩺 Health & Medicine with University of Michigan Medical School students studied forensic evidence (fingerprints, hair, and (fake) blood samples) to solve the shocking and mysterious murder of Mr. Potato Head! 🚀 Engineering with Michigan Chemical Engineering (ChEGS) constructed bottle rockets and conducted a test launch on our front lawn! 🦠Sports Medicine & Nutrition Sciences with MSU Extension learned about germs, examining them up close with black light flashlights! Thank you to all our Community Partner volunteers who bring creative learning experiences to Peace! We can’t wait to see all the immersive activities our middle school kids get up to this semester! Peace Neighborhood Center and Peace HUB Community Resource Center will be closed Wednesday, Sept 23rd, from 10am-1pm for staff trainings. (fb)

Dear Peace Family At Peace Neighborhood Center we have so much to be thankful for this year. Thanks to your efforts we were able to serve over 350 area families this past holiday season. Our Peace Circle is large and transformative.
