These fees cover the operation and maintenance of the system beyond your connection to the street main. 👉 The pipe between your home and the street main is your responsibility. It’s a good idea to have this pipe checked regularly—breaks can happen due to tree roots, digging, or simply old age. Many utilities even use smoke testing to identify leaks. 💡 The Save Our Indian River Lagoon (SOIRL) Plan provides funding to help offset repair costs for private sewer laterals.
