In Tune: It began with a few individuals who loved music—not just hearing it, but learning it, playing it, living it. Sunshine has community-integrated groups built around different themes that go out and engage in the community. All About Music is a Sunshine group for individuals who share a passion for music. Meeting weekly for lessons at a local music store, they build skills, explore instruments, and express their creativity in a supportive environment. Through these experiences—along with performing at places like Perrysburg Commons Senior Center—they gain confidence, purpose, and deeper connections with each other and the wider community. - Stephen’s family is deeply musical. A cello in his hands feels like second nature. Even more remarkable is how he remembers important things best when they’re sung to him. Somehow, a melody makes it stick. - Corey P. is a pianist through and through. He’s performed across the Toledo area and has even been writing his own musical. Most weeks, he plays for residents at Perrysburg Commons, offering comfort and joy through each note. - Chris is quieter by nature, but in the company of music he opens up. Jai and Cory share an endless curiosity for learning and listening.
