📣 Volunteers sound off: Why do you rescue?⁠ ⁠ Rachel started volunteering with Food Rescue US - Akron as a way to meet requirements for an internship class at Ohio University. She continues to volunteer because she loves what she's doing and believes in the mission of Filling Plates Not Landfills.⁠ ⁠ Rachel tells us, "Volunteering has been a very quick and rewarding addition to my day. It is time I would have wasted and now I spend it doing something that makes me feel good, too. I have learned that there is a lot of wasted food around you every day.
