Money anxiety is the stress and worry that makes us either too focused on our finances or avoid them altogether. 🙈 Money anxiety makes sense - we rely on money to survive! At the same time, when the mind and body is overwhelmed even thinking about money we can find ourselves struggling with what we can even do. As a licensed therapist, Summer Forlenza recommends two things: 1️⃣ Start by calming down your body. Take a walk, some deep breaths, listen to music, or use grounding techniques like the one in this video. 2️⃣ Break down your big financial goals (e.g., getting out of debt, saving money for an emergency fund) into small, actionable steps.
