Meet our 2025 Artists in Residence! 🎶 This year, we are doubling our Artist in Residence Program to feature two exceptional local artists: Bashiri Asad and @Okara Imani. Bashiri is a soulful vocalist and storyteller whose genre-blending style draws from classic R&B, jazz, and blues, which has now been defined as “IndySoul.” 🎹 Okara is a dynamic artist whose work weaves together music, poetry, and narrative with roots in classical, neo-soul, and jazz. 🎤 Bashiri will debut his new solo cabaret show, “The Everyday SoulSinger,” in June (tickets available on our website 🎫), and Okara’s solo show will be featured during the Fall-Winter Season. Both artists will also be featured in the finale performance at this summer’s Alley Sessions! 😎 We are so excited to work with these incredible artists, and we can't wait to see them shine on stage! ✨ (fb)
