Funded by public donations, Animal Care and Welfare Inc. operates an adoption program by carefully selecting shelter pets and placing them in loving homes. www.animalcareandwelfare.org Founded in 1970 as an all volunteer, non-profit humane organization, Animal Care and Welfare, Inc. strives to further the humane treatment of animals in the greater Pittsburgh area. To accomplish this mission, we assist low-income pet owners with the spaying and neutering of companion animals, and promote the rescue, foster, and adoption of homeless pets in Allegheny County and the surrounding area.
