🚨 Human Trafficking… It’s Happening Here 🚨 That sobering message was shared during the NEPA Task Force Against Human Trafficking presentation on the GFWC International Day of Service, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Church of Christ Uniting in Kingston. Approximately 60 attendees learned that human trafficking is a real issue in our own hometown. The presentation highlighted the 5 P’s—Prevention, Protection, Prosecution, Partnership, and Policy—as vital tools to end trafficking and support survivors. We also were educated on common signs of victimization and resources to contact. Special thanks to Attorney Tom Mosca, Victims Resource Center Board Chairman, and Tammi Burke, Chief Program Officer, for their insights and guidance. This impactful event, led by GFWC West Side Women’s Club member Mary Jane Kozick and dedicated committee members from four local clubs, raised over $500 and collected essential supplies—all donated to the Victims Resource Center in Wilkes-Barre.
