The Colonie-Guilderland Rotary Club teamed up with Twin Bridges Rotary Club and we each raised $5000 to fund a Sleep in Heavenly Peace - NY, Mechanicville build event. What an efficient production process SHP has developed! Starting with raw dimensional lumber we cut, drilled sanded, assembled, branded and dipped 40 beds. Build A Bed make-up date, Saturday July 12. We got rained out last month and have the new date. *PLEASE REGISTER AGAIN* Dates are different so volunteer availability can change, obviously. Give a couple of volunteer hours to build beds for children that don't have a bed. All beds go to children right here in the Capital Region. There are two shifts available: 9-12 and 12-3. Or, sign up for both! You will be working with core team volunteers who will support you at the various build stations. Stations will include sanding, drilling, parts assembly, staining and branding. The work bee will be at Grassland Equipment, 892 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Latham, NY 12110 .
