New Army Fellow! ISMP is proud to announce that Kara Jensen, PharmD, BCPS is the 2025/2026 ISMP Safe Medication Management Fellow, supported by the US Army. Kara is an active-duty officer and most recently worked as the Deputy Commander for Nursing at Wiesbaden Army Health Clinic in Germany. Her interest in pharmacy was sparked by a college trip to Honduras volunteering in a remote medical clinic where the limited supply of medications revealed a significant need for pharmacy services. Dr. Jensen received her PharmD from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in 2009. During her military career as an Army pharmacist, she has contributed to medication safety and completed a pharmacy residency project that highlighted the need for staffing model changes in Army outpatient pharmacies.
