We are excited to announce the first Hi-Line Youth Hockey Scholarship! This scholarship was open to Ice Dawg and Hi-Line figure skating seniors who participated in the 2024/2025 season and have plans for continued higher education. With funds generated through HLYH's hockey and skating programs, we are pleased to announce this year's two $500 recipients. Jorden Mix and Mason Hunter. Jorden Mix has been involved with Hi-Line Figure Skating since 2016. Future plans are to attend Montana State University for a Bachelors of Science in Nursing along with skating for the Montana State Figure Skating Club and joining the IceGirls. Mason Hunter began skating at 5 years old when his parents enrolled him in the Learn to Skate program. At 6 he played his first year of hockey growing a passion for the sport, playing for 12 years. He looks forward to continuing to play as an adult. Future plans are to attend lineman school at Bismarck State College and obtain an electrical lineman certificate. HiLine Youth Hockey Association The Valley Event Center is owned and operated by the HiLine Youth Hockey AssociationHLYHA. HLYHA is a 501c3non profit organization that was created in 1995. HLYHA has been providing the Glasgow and surrounding communitieswith affordable youth and adult hockey and skating programs for more than 10 years. Glasgow Ice Dawg hockey teams are the primary users of the Valley Event Center also home to the HiLine Figure Skating program.
