Happy New Year from Vientiane, Lao PDR. Our team is back in with a 2-1-2 Training. This is a PTC training of trainers for 16 new Emergency Medicine Residents at the University of Health Sciences Vientiane. (fb)
Dr. Khamsay, the lead for PTC in the Lao PDR, has been awarded the gold star honor from the Primary Trauma Care Foundation in the UK. Thank you to the PTCF foundation for honoring Dr. Khamsay and making the PTC curriculum available to HLI and to the Lao PDR for the implementation of this life saving training. HLI would like to thank the HLI PTC team, the Lao PDR PTC trainers and the US Department of State for supporting, implementing and leading this excellent nationwide trauma training in all the of the Provinces in the Lao PDR. Lao PDR now has over 60 certified PTC trainers and have trained over 240 health providers. (fb)
