Our first Sketching at the Museum starts TODAY Saturday, September 20th from 2-4pm. Artist Chris Taylor will be demoing an approach to sketching. Free for members, $10 for non-members. Don't have supplies? We have kits available for purchase or to borrow. All sales go towards FOSLAM so we can continue opportunities like this. (fb)
Join us for our first "SKETCHING AT THE MUSEUM" tomorrow! Bring your own sketching materials. Graphite, colored pencils, pen, pastels, watercolor, and gouache are all ok. For ages 15+. All are welcome. Donations accepted, free for FOSLAM members. We’re planning to meet the first and third Saturday of the month at 2 pm, through April (except state holidays). Questions? Connecting people to Alaskas diverse history art and cultures by supporting the Alaska State Library Archives and Museum WHO are the Friends. The Friends of the Alaska State Library Archives and Museum FoSLAM works hard to support and promote the myriad of amazing activities that take place in the library archives and museum located in Juneaus Andrew P. Kashevaroff APK building. Our goal is to provide a longterm funding source for special events guest speakers and artists and to purchase of statewide historical objects and fine artwork that are beyond what the annual State of Alaska budget can provide.
